MEDITERRANEAN INTERIOR GARDEN IN ALELLA
Architects: MESURA
This project is a wild garden set on a steep, sloping plot in Alella, with unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea. The design preserves the natural topography, allowing the slope itself to define the spatial experience. Rather than impose order, the garden encourages a sense of immersion in a loosely structured landscape composed of native and climate-adapted species. Its wild character contrasts with the architectural precision of the house, creating a dialogue between built form and untamed nature. Hidden from view at street level, the garden is revealed progressively from within. Large openings and carefully oriented sight lines ensure a continuous visual connection with the landscape from the interior, allowing the sea, vegetation, and changing light to become integral elements of daily life.
